El pasado día 16 de septiembre se reunió el nodo español del proyecto Integrated Platform for the European Research Infraestructure (IPERION HS) formado por el grupo de Corrosión Atmosférica y Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural, CAPAC-CENIM, el Laboratorio Láser de Ciencia de Patrimonio, LLHS-IQFR, el Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE) y el Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH), para tratar los aspectos técnicos y los avances del proyecto europeo.
Emilio Cano, miembro del grupo CAPAC-CENIM del CSIC, es el coordinador del nodo español.

Hoy se han reunido los Grupos de Investigación del CSIC (GIs) de la PTI-PAIS, en su 2ª reunión de coordinación, para tratar el seguimiento de la plataforma en su primer año de vida.
La PTI-PAIS está compuesta por 10 Grupos de investigación del CSIC procedentes de las tres áreas globales de conocimiento de la institución: Sociedad, Materia y Vida.

Dear Colleagues,
Many wrote about stained glass, but one must witness its splendour to understand the meaning of the words, the game of light and shadow, with coloured and colourless glass decorated with painted motifs. However, historic stained glass windows are exposed to the passage of time, facing physical attack and weathering conditions over time. Further changes introduced by restorations, reconstructions and interventions along with the degradation have a strong impact on the stained glass windows that we see today. Fortunately, scientific and technological advancements give, now, new and wider opportunities for preserving, sharing cultural heritage and better interpret its history, both in terms of manufacturing and past restoration actions.
A Special Issue welcoming contributions that are dedicated to major research themes related to “Stained Glass: Materials, Methods, and Expressions” is proposed. We invite both reviews, providing an up-to-date and critical overview of state-of-the-art, and original research articles dealing with:
This Special Issue will also be open to contributions dealing with other subjects related to the major research themes mentioned above.

El grupo de Corrosión Atmosférica y Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural (CAPAC-CENIM) de la PTI-PAIS, ha publicado un artículo sobre la metodología de voltamperometría de partículas inmovilizadas (VIMP) utilizada para caracterizar la composición de pátinas artificiales sobre cobre.

It is sought for for articles for the edition of a special issue of the Journal Cadernos do Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa.
The theme is something that we all value very much: MATERIALS OF HISTORIC VALUE. In this case the issue is specifically about MATERIALS WITH HISTORIC INTEREST THAT CONSTRUCT THE BUILT HERITAGE: CORRELATIONS, USES, LANDSCAPES.
Although the title of the Journal is a bit misleading, the articles are meant to be international (in Portuguese, Spanish, English or French) and regarding materials all over the world.
Lime, gypsum, earth, cement, wood, ceramic tiles, pigments and paints, etc. are well within the scope, while used as heritage materials and considering in their human environment and influences.
The articles will be subjected to blind peer review.
